Biography

Darena Nioso Shetler started her teaching career in 1993 at her alma mater, San Diego Academy, where she taught junior high with an emphasis in math, science and social studies.  After moving to the Murrieta area, she began part time as a Kindergarten and K-8 art teacher at MSACA.  In 2004, she completed her Master's in Educational Administration and continued serving nine more years as MSACA's Teaching Principal engaged in junior academy coursework and student life.  Darena has a passion for teaching and a joy for young people and what they teach her every day.  She is looking forward to joining the EAA faculty officially as her daughter, Lani, graduated from EAA in 2014, her son, Jonny, will graduate in 2017 and her youngest, Kiki, will start as a freshman for the 2016-17 school year.
