Welcome to Kindergarten at EAA!!
Where the great are small and the small are great!

Personal Mission Statement
I believe that each child grows at their own pace and in their own style.  Children learn best in an environment that is loving, warm, and nurturing – one that provides a limitless variety of experiences both in and out of the classroom.  I believe that a program that provides all of these things within a structured setting is a successful classroom that produces successful children.  It is my mission to treat every child as a worthwhile and important individual.  I strive to make my classroom a learner-centered environment that promotes individual responsibility and a feeling of success.

Personal Bio
I attended elementary school at Linda Vista Junior Academy in Oxnard, California and I attended high school at Newbury Park Adventist Academy in Newbury Park, California.  I graduated from Chapman University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science and received my elementary teaching credentials from La Sierra University. In my career I have taught 1st grade, K/1 combination classes, and Kindergarten.  My school "homes" have been at San Fernando Valley Academy, Simi Valley Adventist Elementary School, Conejo Adventist Elementary School, and my current nesting place, Escondido Adventist Academy.  I am married to our amazing vice principal and physical education teacher, Mr. Doug Zimmerman.  I think we make a great team!   Most of all, I love my Little Hawks and consider it a sincere privilege and a blessing to be their first formal teacher on their journey in education.

Hobbies & Interests
I love to travel, read, shop, cook, and play in the water (lake, ocean, or river).  I love to ride horses, go boating, and watch pro football (Go BRONCOS!).  I love going to theme parks, especially the San Diego Safari Park and Disneyland!  I believe that one should never say no to any opportunity because experiences should never be missed.  Each and every experience makes us a stronger, more educated, and more insightful person.
